Cask Days

Will be showing at Cask Days - the 8th Annual Cask-Conditioned Craft Beer Festival - at the Evergreen Brick Works, October 27th-28th.

Good beerz, good art, good music... moar beerz... increasingly blurrier art... Ah, good days.

NYCC 2012

Looks like it's a last minute trippy trip to NYC for their humble local Comic Con. I'll be hanging in and around the booth of my lovely collaborator Christina Strain. So if you'd like, swing by and say hey, like Willie Mays (Hayes).

And hey! We'll still be pimping copies of Sweetness! (All out of my batch in Canadia, at the moment)

"What that is?", you ax?

"True Patriot is a comic book anthology featuring Canadian superheroes written and drawn by some of your favourite Canadian comic book creators. Most of us working on this project grew up reading Alpha Flight, Captain Canuck, or Wolverine comics and we’ve always thought that there should be more Canadian superheroes out there. So, we're putting together a 100-page, full-colour anthology for your reading pleasure (and ours)!

Check out the Indiegogo campaign for the ask, the perks, the gallery and more!

Myself and Howard Wong are contributing a story based on Kelowna, B.C.'s favourite lake cryptid, Ogopogo. It'll be fun, over the top and maybe a little absurd, but we hope you'll dig it!

And for you fine folks reading this right now, a preliminary look at what Ogopogo may or may not look like, and what may or may not be in the story.

For more on the campaign, you can follow us on the facebooks and the tweeter!

Mind The Gap #5

Fill-in work for Jim McCann, Rodin Esquejo and Sonia Oback's recently released Mind the Gap #5 from Image.

My first comic sequentials in quite a while and had a fun time doing it. I do miss this medium. Don't know how fans of Jim's thriller will take to the style departure from Rodin's sublime skills, but i hope it worked (If it didn't it's okay, my name was forgotten in the credits anyway. I can feign ignorance). Btw. Ms. Oback rocked the colours.

Below is my design for Elle's bff Jo. There will be more in the Vol.1 trade, out on Oct. 17!
